Yoga Nanda – The Path to Self-Realization – Teacher Training 2017-2018

Yoga Nanda is a community where students explore and practice the ancient tools of transformation grounded in the 8-limbed path of yoga. Joining body, mind and spirit, we unite with our larger collective in compassion and service.

With a unique blend of diversified styles and seasoned instructors, Yoga Nanda offers both traditional teachings that are rooted in classical lineage as well as contemporary teachings that flow from personal experience.

Yoga Nanda’s 200-Hr “Path to Self Realization” Teacher Training will be a journey of discovery in which students draw from their inner passion to cultivate a personal clarity that can transform their life both on and off the mat. This comprehensive program is suited for both prospective instructors as well as any dedicated practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of the physical and spiritual teachings of yoga.

We believe the key to being a great yoga teacher is the ability to pull from various schools of thought in order to adapt the practice to a wide variety of practitioners. In this alignment-based vinyasa training, you will create a personal tool box from which to engage and connect meaningfully with students through visual, auditory, tactile, and experiential learning.

Participants will complete this training with a sturdy foundation upon which to build a meaningful and life-long connection with yoga, wherever that path may lead.

Program Requirements:

We ask that the applicants have a minimum of 1 year consistent yoga practice. Additionally, in order to be sure YogaNanda is the best environment for you to pursue your study of yoga, we recommend you attend at least one class with 2 of the 4 core faculty instructors at Yoga Nanda.



– Yoga Alliance RYT 200 hour training certification

  • Unlimited yoga for the duration of the training at both studio locations

$3250 – Early Bird Enrollment (paid in full before September 18th)

$3450 – Regular Enrollment (paid in full after September 18th before November 1st)

Graduation Requirements:

In order to receive a Yoga Nanda “Path to Realization” 200 hour Certification you will be required to complete the following:

All training sessions and required workshops

All out of classroom assignments and readings

Written exam to include Philosophy, Vocabulary, Sequencing, Sanskrit, and Program Content

Teach an Alignment-Based Vinyasa class that illustrates the principles and content of the training curriculum


Applications will be accepted until October 1st, 2017. Admission will be made in the order that the applications have been submitted.

Nanda Teacher Training Scholarship Offering:

This Yoga Nanda Teacher Training partial scholarship program is intended for any yoga teacher or student, with limited income, who can share yoga with under-served populations in the community. Scholarships are intended to support the participation of low-income yoga teachers and students who actively contribute their unique teaching abilities to sharing yoga with people who would not otherwise receive the teachings. In other words, what is your plan to pay this knowledge forward if you’re awarded a partial scholarship? How can attending the Path to Self – realization 200 HR. Teacher Training help your life and how can you help the lives of others with your yoga?

Essay: 150 words or less. Essay topics are not limited, but you may wish to reflect how yoga has impacted your life, and the lives of others, and why you are applying for the partial scholarship.

References: Please include 1 written reference from your yoga instructor, teacher/professor, employer or any other person who will provide us with an additional sense of why you should be considered. Ideally, the reference should be someone who has seen you teach to people who may not otherwise experience yoga.
