After earning her Master’s Degree in English in 2009 and teaching Pilates classes for several months, Joanna was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga by her now teacher, Patricia Morris. She completed her first Yoga Teacher Training with Patricia in 2010 and has since completed over 500 hours of formal training under her tutelage. She has also had the privilege of learning from some of the most inspiring and experienced teachers of yoga, including Richard Freeman, David Swenson, and David Williams. Joanna’s teaching style is heavily influenced by the Ashtanga Yoga lineage, including intelligent sequencing, careful attention to the breath, and a focus on the internal subtleties of the practice. Her precise cuing and adjustments are steeped in a thorough understanding of anatomy and alignment. She is forever grateful to her teachers for sharing their knowledge with her and is dedicated to supporting her students as they embark on their own yogic journeys. Joanna hopes to inspire happiness, promote confidence, and help her students realize the infinite possibilities available to them.
