Yoga Nanda 200 Hour Teacher Training

You are passionate. You are committed. You are inspired. You feel the call.

You know, deep down, you’re ready for more.

Does this sound like you? Welcome to Yoga Nanda’s 200hr teacher training. This training is designed for the dedicated student who is ready to expand their horizons – whether you’re ready to teach or not. Have you ever wondered what you are capable of if you really commit to your practice, or have you ever felt so connected to this practice that you feel compelled to pass it on? Then this is the training for you.

From classical perspectives to modern applications, our Teacher Training will take you from the Yoga Sutras, to Anatomy, to breathwork, to practical teaching, to self-work, to communication, to dharma talks, to brain chemistry, to mantras, and back again. The physical, the spiritual, the emotional, the subtle: we walk down the path together. Not just to become teachers, but to elevate who we are as students, parents, friends, partners, people.

Taught by teachers who walk the talk: we teach you what we believe, what we are passionate about, what has kept us showing back up on the mat year after year. We know the power of yoga, and we want to share it with you.

You are ready to deepen your practice. You are ready to start this journey.

Take the first step. Now is the time.

Curriculum:

  • Teach What You Know: learn each pose, and how to teach it from twists to sun salutations to peak poses

  • Anatomy: the body is the foundation of our practice, learn what it does, how to safely move it, and how it all connects.

  • Pranayama: the breath, prana, energy

  • Dharma Talks: how do we make an esoteric practice accessible and knowable? Learn how we connect this practice to our real lives

  • How to Be a Teacher: what does it mean to step into this seat: both for yourself and for anyone you teach? How do you find your voice? How do we share yoga in a way it was shared with us? This is where we learn how to love our yoga, and how to create classes that matter.

  • Sacred Texts: these are the words that started it all. We learn how to pay homage to the foundation of this practice, learn how to apply it in our lives, and connect the poses to something more, something bigger than ourselves.

  • Assists: how do we help ourselves and our students experience poses in a way that supports, heals, and is trauma sensitive?

  • Meditation: we sit in a comfortable seat. And from there… so much happens. Here we learn what, how, and why.

  • Perspectives on Sequencing: from alignment based to energetic body based, learn how to put together a class that’s effective, safe, and works for your students

  • Practical Teaching: what does it mean to have all this knowledge if we can’t bring it to our students in a way that makes sense and lands? Here is where we practice.

  • And… Chanting, Subtle Body, Mantras, Restorative… and even more.

FAQs:

Is there a practice requirement?

Yes! There is no substitute for getting on your mat. Period. We recommend having a regular practice of at least three years, and the training itself has both practices built in, and a required component of weekly practice with a journaling element. We practice what we preach!

What is I need to miss a session?

We understand that life happens, AND we want you to be an exceptional teacher. Therefor, all sessions are required for graduation. We have “office hours” and makeup sessions so we can make sure you’re able to make up any scheduled meetings you miss.

Are there additional requirements?

There are homework assignments, journaling exercises, and engaging readings. We want to light your brain up!

Will I have a mentor?

Absolutely. Every student will have an assigned mentor to guide you through this training, to support you in your goals, and to help you stand on your feet afterwards.

Are there payment options?

Yes. We want this training to be accessible to ALL. In addition to early bird discounts, sign-up-with-a-friend discounts, and payment plans, we also offer needs based scholarship spots. No one will be turned away because they can’t afford it. If you have the passion, email us and we will make it work for you.

Is there an application?

We pride ourself on one of the best trainings out there. To keep it that way, and to make sure that we are a good fit for each other, we have an application before entrance is accepted. Email us, and we will send it to you within 48 hours.
