Laila Selim Truelson

Laila discovered yoga as a high school athlete, seeking to improve her flexibility for her tennis game. In the following years, however, it was the spiritual and emotional aspects of yoga which kept her connected to her practice. As a graduate student working on a PhD in Medieval History, Laila relies on yoga to keep her grounded (and sane)!

She received her 200RYT from Om Sweet Om in Port Washington in 2010, studying with Lisa Bondy and Gail Grossman. Laila teaches a creative vinyasa flow, aimed at uplifting her students with playful sequences to generate positive energy. She has been teaching at Yoga Nanda since it opened in 2011, where she has fallen in love with the beautiful community of yogis!
